Obviously people connected to this forum / industry may be personally affected by this event. I'm not talking just about a business relationship and the industry, I'm talking about close personal relationships so that makes it a touchy topic.

One hopes for the best, but the articles posted don't sound good

bottom of the article thats was originally posted by greenbacks. looks like he posted it but thats all i can find out about it, nobody else seems to be reporting that. the details on this whole story have been very conflicting and slow to come out.

I'm guessing it's totally frowned apon, but it would be kind of nice to know the context(as vague as it has to be) of how this went down???

I pray for his safe return. Wouldn't wish this on anyone. The ransom was alegedly paid in bitcoin, I'm surprised we haven't heard more stories like this with bitcoin. We might find out just how untraceable it is now.
