Patrick dont feel bad. I swear when I first read the post I thouhgt Fish was talking about 5 in football. Like a game ending 15 to 10, for example.
Anyway to answer the question using hockey as the sport I can only go along with the consensus, and say somewhere between 18 and 22 percent of the time will a game with a total of 5 land on 5. I have given a lot of thought to hockey totals over the years, with not a lot of success. These days juice has become much more of a factor than say 10 years ago. Many books are hesitant to move off a number, instead move juice to sometime (imo) ridiculas numbers. Like 5 over minus 45 or 50, how can you not think twice about taking the big plus juice side of a bet like that?
