Off the top of my head. I'll probably think of a few more later
Procol Harum.....The greatest prog band that I've ever heard. Saw them twice live. Where Robin Trower got his start
The Zombies......They were much more than a one hit wonder. Colin Blundstone might have been the best rock singer of the 60's
The Band......One of the best bands ever. Great musicians all. Dylan's first backing band.
Big Star......Alex Chilton's band after he left the Box Tops
Graham Parker & The Rumor......Nobody could touch this angry young man in the late 70's. Great band too
Rory Gallagher and also his first band Taste.......Probably the most underrated guitar player of all time.
The Feelies......the greatest band to come out of Hoboken. Their music still holds up very well today.
Blue Oyster Cult.......I've done a lot of driving to this band
INXS.......Not very many 80's rock bands touched a nerve with me like these guys did. This is the REAL band you should have on your ipod when your working out.
The Blasters...Dave Alvin is the bomb!
The Kinks......They are known mainly for their early 60's hits. But their musical output from the mid 60's to the mid 70's was very underrated
The Beat Farmers.......I miss Country Dick Montana! He died way too young. One of the best live acts that I've ever seen
