Agreed agreed agreed.

The way Americans talk about 'cheap overseas labour markets' (thanks for that, Mr Dobbs) reminds me of how the protectionists/unionists talked when we (Canada) brought in the Free Trade Agreement with the States. We got our asses handed to us for a few years - there was a recession at the same time, tho - but now our economy is the best it's been in decades.

We're moving away, as a society, from manufacturing and to information, anyway. That manufacturing jobs are moving overseas is a natural reflection of a changing market. Embrace it.

You put that so eloquently, you maybe invited to the next Bilderberger Bash.

wal mart nothing to buy there of decent quality. good for college kids and people on a budget.

target not much better but I do buy evian water and sprite from there, it would be rare to buy anything else from the store.

obviously there are alot of people shopping at walmart or they wouldnt have the number of stores or the prices they do. Its their employment practices and effect on small communities that gets them bad press.

Have to disagree.......have TB LIGHTNING, TONY STEWART, and JOHN DEERE clothing/hats that have passed the test of time.

Great clothing outlet!

the fallout from this regrettable thread should be the following:

1) i should get a good talking to from wilheim. i should then be temporarily banned. the length of that banning should depend on how i react...if i sit there and take it, i should get around 4 days. if i give him lip and take no responsibility and tell him things like "what the hell do you know about anything, you're from boston", etc...it could go as high as a month.

while i'm banned i should go to walmart and talk to those folks. i mean really talk to them and find out what makes them tick. and, i will probably find a few bargains or so people tell me.

2) ttinco should go on post review for all thoes cut & paste jobs. that was really brutal and make this thread much worse that it should be.

3) xpanda should go there and get some panties regardless of how many yards rudi johnson racks up tomorrow.

4) seymour should just realize that his wife wants a real man. shake it off, go back to school and get his degree...then start over and not make the same mistakes again.

I wonder if Blue is hungover today? :ohno:

Fish, please see my post earlier about people who purchase clothing at Walmart - this is not open for debate.

If I can save enough money so I can eat sushi for free that night, am i doing something wrong????

judge someone for their personality, not what they look like.

I like wal mart. fu if you judge me for that.

by the way, great thread. I have a feeling it isn't going away anytime soon and will probably be in the top 5 for most views and posts.

There was a time in our great country's history when thrift was considered a virtue by most. Now it seems for most the virtue goes to those who can spend the most in an effort to show off what they made, or more often, what they have borrowed.

To have people bash others for trying to save a few bucks on what they buy is just another symptom of this.

Taking pictures of the actual store is pointless - get some shots of the customers - that would be great.

I shop there, but it's almost a must for some things where nobody comes close to the price. Stuff like toilet-trees are real cheap there.

Also the cat will only eat the wal-mart store brand beef canned cat food, nothing else, so have to get it there.

I feel sorry for the people that work there, almost like you should tip them because they are so abused by the employer, but I think they stay an average of about 3 weeks

Also a shot of the Wal-Mart parking lot security guard for a bonus. :103631605

I just got back from Walmart ! I bought my Litter Maid for the cats that my wife wanted. Big surprise ... The price had dropped to $ 81.95 while the price at Petsmart remains at $ 189.95 ! Now you tell me who is ripping the customer off ? The greeter gave me a candy cane as I walked in the store and overall it was a very pleasant visit with the customers at this particular Walmart not all that much different then the Albertson store I buy my groceries at ?

kermit, you're a white trash piece of shit now. I hope you realize that.

Doesn't matter if you shopped there to save over $100...you're pure trash. How can you live with yourself?

Blue I like almost all your post. I think you were just trying to make a joke and it turned out bad. This thread has moved from the people that shop there to the company itself. I myself go to walmart but I drive to a Walmart that is 10 miles the road than the one that is 3 miles from me. So I can see where you are comming from.
