Barack Obama supports the $700B bailout, has $800B in new spending proposals (including Government subsidized health care), and says he is going to CUT TAXES FOR 95% OF THE PEOPLE!!! And, he's also going to do something about the deficit. Oh, wait a minute, Biden said in the debate that they weren't going to spend as much on foreign aid as they planned to.

John McCain promised to veto every single solitary bill that came across his desk if there were earmarks. BUT HE VOTED FOR THE BAILOUT, WHICH WAS LOADED WITH EARMARKS AND OTHER WASTE. Oh, but the bailout was soooo important. Well, I guess that means he's going to veto every bill with earmarks except those that are really, really important.

Washington is so corrupt (on both sides, all sides, every which way) that it is just out of control now...Got to the point now where these crooks are gonna be very hard to rein in...Every one of these folks are bought and paid for and quite frankly, why should they even care if this country is being destroyed every day by their legislation when they, their families and their heirs are set for life by the time they die or leave Washington, whichever comes first...

Why do you think Strom Thurmond never retired as a Senator??...Geezus, he was 100 (and a 1/2) years old when he died and he was STILL IN OFFICE AS A SENATOR...Why?...He was accumulating wealth, hand over fist, that's why...Couldn't walk away from all the money and power coming his way as a U.S. Senator...Not these days...And once you start accumulating money as easily as these pigs do these days, when is enough wealth enough?...They just want more and more and more...Lot of these guys will never retire unless their health gets so bad, they''ll be bedridden, and even then, I am sure they'll pass legislation some day where these geezers can vote and do their work and under-the-table deals from a hospice...

I hear about "oversight" all the time as the federal government is going to oversight this and oversight that...But who are they accountable to?...Who is watching them?...Who can punish them for not just breaking laws, but for making unethical and immoral deals with our money that they pocket for themselves??...Sickening, really...

great post brewers and I agree. this country really needs term limits. obviously, term limits will never happen because you are asking these same corrupt individuals to vote themselves out of their job. a lot of people are on the take in Washington and both sides are guilty.
