Besides GAYRod coming back, the Starting pitching has gotten better and the bullpen has lowered their ERA a couple points.

I played NYY on Friday at +115 with Pettite on the mound to cash a nice ticket.

St Louis belongs. Their pitching has been spectacular over the past couple of weeks. How many runs have their bullpen allowed over the past 10 games? ONE. One stinkin' run. Off the charts.

The only team going into today's action that has won 8 of their last ten games is San Diego, so you have to say they are one of the hottest teams right *now*.

Going into today's action Baltimore has the longest current winning streak at five, and they just beat Verlander to make it 6 and they have won 8 of their last 11, so they belong in this conversation as well.

Other teams that are hot right now are NYY, and Boston, but the Sox just got cooled down some.

How about the Phillies? They were one of only 2 teams last year (LAA the other) that had a winning record on the road during the regular season, and they did very well in the postseason on the road as well. They are playing great on the road again this year as well. I think this is one of the most over-looked stats out there and it should be one of the first things that people should look at when trying to figure out who is best.
