That is nuts. The situation is impossible. Dem gov and Rep gov have different views and different priority. But this is an ignorant point of view.
Republicans are not opening things up sooner to get people sick...they are trying to preserve what's left of our economy.
Democrats are not trying to tank the economy, they are trying to save lives and prevent the spread of the pandemic.
They dont agree on what's important but there is no malice towards the people/economy. Sure they try to spin things to praise or tarnish what role Trump had but the governor's people are the governor's people. Right or wrong, they are doing what they think is best for their state.

I would not say they are tanking their economy on purpose but their non forward thinking decisions are killing their economy
If these governors actually had a clue of what they were doing then things would be better.
To them a little collateral damage of people losing jobs, businesses closing for good, etc is of little concern to them as they want to follow
their agenda or whoever controls them
Some are also seemingly trying to see how far they can control their citizens with ridiculous edicts, socialism, communism, etc
