Okay a bit simplistic but four games today show historical dominance by one team over the other. Always something to consider.

Tampa Bay 7-1 last 8 in Carolina

Pittsburgh 5-0 in Buffalo and 38-18-3 overall.

Vancouver 9-2 last 11 at home against Colorado.

Anaheim 26-1 last 27 at home vs. Calgary. However Ducks play their first game at home after a 7 game trip.

Would definatly see who is starting in net for the Pens.
Also as you said, no way would I take the Duckies here. Why take a chance

On the other hand no way I’d back Calgary, (despite the +170 price tag), with that goaltending/defense considering the offensive form Anaheim is in.

Not just who’s in the Pittsburgh net but Malkin’s status. Pens just a .500 team without him, (4-4, needing OT to win 2 of the games).

I love the effort and playoff push Carolina has been exhibiting. Bolts play their 3rd in 4, 4th in 6, after yesterday’s matinee. 3-4-1 this year with no days rest.

...and how can anyone, with any sense, play Vancouver right now?

At this moment I’m thinking Minnesota might be the play of the day.

With an outdoor game you just never know. Thinking today is a great day to just watch. Many, many conflicting stats and angles today.

Usually I’m always taking the under on these outdoor games. Forecast in Minneapolis is cloudy so that direct sun shouldn’t be a issue like it was yesterday. The ice conditions are reported to be exceptional.

I know the Wild played inferior opponents but I really like their game over the last three games.

Fleury starting for the Pens, but the Pens are horrible on B2B's this year. Leaving it alone

At +120 I think Buffalo is the right side.

Sherwood makes a very logical and compelling case for the Blackhawks.

"It is very noteworthy that in 16 outdoor games since the Stadium Series was introduced, the road team is a whopping 12-3-1."

Did he decide to not post here anymore ?
Hope not. He does have spells where he doesn't post, then comes back. Out of close to 40 contestants hes leading my contest across the street. So its not because hes running bad. But he never stops posting here because hes running bad. Ridiculous he has to defend himself from dopes like Seer here though.

You always have those behind the keyboard types. I have always been a believer in letting your picks do the talking. Best way to shut anyone up.

I could be wrong but I think Malkins absence has a lot to do with Crosbys rejuvenation. THey need to trade him while there is still a lot of trade value and others start to realize hes a bit of a cancer to a team. Crosby and the Pens dont need him to win now and the fruits of his return could be immense.

I’m a believer that Malkin makes this team go not Crosby.

But definitely too many chiefs, not enough indians on this team.
