Cleveland wins because they got both picks they really wanted. Quinn could be a bust or a stud. But they need a quarterback, so who's to say the QB they would have spent their first rounder on next year would be any better than Quinn. I think they made a great move.
You don't draft a quarterback simply because you "need" one. You draft him because you beleive he will be the face of your franchise for 15 years. Quinn could be a hall of famer but either way, Cleveland is most likely picking in the top 5 next year and 100% chance will be picking in the top 10 and thats if everything works out.
What will it look like next year at this time after they go 5-11 and don't have the 6th pick in the draft?
When you are a bad team, you don't make trades like that. Its a little different when you are the colts and they traded their #1 next year because that will barring a dozen season ending injuries be anywhere from 24-32 and are set at many positions but Cleveland has a lot of needs.
Now after a bad season next year, you have nothing to look forward too as a Browns fan. persoanlly, I think brian Brian yhas more talent than brady quinn but we won't know that for awhile anyway so no need to discuss it but I just would not want to mortgage a guaranteed top10 pick next year for a system quarterback at best. give him a ton of talent and he'd be manageable as an NFL quarterback but people have to be kidding themselves if they see him as a perrenial pro bowler.
