Good question...This is kind of a tough one because just about every division 1 team this year has scheduled a division 2 team. Smart, because nobody wants to go winless nowadays. If I was going to look for a winless team this year I would look at the non BCS conferences. Idaho and Utah State are usually lucky if they win 3 games for a season. Idaho is kind of rebuilding off a 1-11 season...So they probably stand the best chance to go winless in the WAC. My second choice would be Army..Only 8 starters coming back off a 3-9 season. If they don't beat Division 2 New Hampshire in their second game, they won't be favored in any other game this season. That's about all the teams that I see that have a realistic chance to go winless...The team that I think could take the biggest fall from last season is Virginia. They have only 11 starters back. But they lost all of their key players. They probably won't be favored in any game this year. They do play one division 2 school..But it's Richmond, who is one of the best teams in division 2..If they don't beat Richmond, they could go from 9-4 to 0-12..Then Groh can kiss his ass goodbye.

Yes, but will they win those games? VA is probably a bad example of a team who will go winless..But I do see a tough year for this team. Air Force looks like another team due to take a pretty big fall..But they should still win a few games. I really can't think of anybody else who stands what I call a good chance of going winless..Can you?

If Arkansas doesn't get past their opener against Western Illinois, they could go "o-fer".

If Baylor doesn't get past their second game of season against Northwestern St, they could go "o-fer".

Iowa State could go "o-fer".

If Georgia tech had not stuck a couple of "patsies" in their schedule this season (Jacksonville St and Gardner-Webb) they would have likely gone "o-fer".

There's a chance that Washington could go "o-fer".

San Diego St could go "o-fer".

UAB could go "o-fer".

Idaho, Utah St or Hawaii could go "o-fer".

Army could go "o-fer".

No team in the MAC will go "o-fer" because they are all weak and capable of beating each other.

Florida International or Western Kentucky are both capable of going "o-fer". The only saving grace is that they play each other so one of these teams will have at least 1 win.

Florida International maybe...Western Kentucky isn't yet considered a full fledged Division 1 member intil next season, even though they are now a member of the Sunbelt..

The only problem I have with anybody going winless is like I mentioned the Division 2 games that is seemingly on everybody's schedule this year...Here are the Vegas odds on the over/unders for team totals on a few of the bottom dwellers:

Syracuse 2.5
Vandy 3
Baylor 3
Duke 3
Iowa State 3
Colorado State 3.5
UNLV 3.5
Stanford 4
Wash. St. 4
Wash 4.5
Virginia 4.5
SDSU 4.5

I'll probably play an under on a couple of these teams...To tell you the truth I'm tempted to take the under on all of them..I would probably come out ahead. :nohead:

Careful of that WSU under GoSooners.

I heard that those 25 Coogs in trouble with the law all made bail.
