i think football due to everyone MUST cover their assignment....1 broken assignment is usually the ballgame

you can state your case for every sport. each has its own strategic ways....

but i beleive that Nascar is right up there.....think of all the strategy involved.....which groove does a driver run, who do we draft with, when/or if to pit, how many tires, what adjustment......500 miles of 200 MPH terror....43 cars around you....no one but a driver can imagine what goes on

I have been fortunate to drive around Charlotte Motor Speedway in a race car....talk about wanting to shit yourself! we did 3 laps and i was absolutely terrified, but thrilled! I dont know how these guys do it for 500 miles with 43 others bumping and trying to pass you.

I woke up the next morning almost unable to move. The power to turn that car and hold your line is amazing....god knows how it feels when your car is tight! i didnt have an appreciation for these guys until i did that....now its no question

i dont think nascar is a "athletic" sport, but it is a sport. tell me that driving that hard for 500 miles wouldnt be physically and mentally draining

thats my story and im sticking to it!

How anyone could say baseball proves you shouldn't pay any attention to what they say from now on. Not even close to the other two major sports. NFL is by far away the most strategic and defensive rotations in the NBA are also very strategic come playoff time but not quite as much so as the NFL.

IF you are talking coaching decisions I would say Football. If you are talking pure strategic thinking I would say Baseball, because every pitch a Pitcher and catcher are making a strategic decision on how to get a batter out.

In game strategy I would probably say baseball. Preparation up to the game (the week before) would be football. Yes you can do in game adjustments for football but they are difficult and clumsy. A good bit of the "coaching" is done long before you hit the field. With bases every pitch changes what is going down and how you adjust. The ongoing strategy is much more prevalent IMO.

Football.

There are so many variables to account for that this game very much becomes a game of strategy.

Nothing else even compares.
