College Basketball........maybe some NBA, but NBA has also given me some incredible last second wager~victories. Once I had Dallas Mavs -3.5 in 1st half for $500(and I don't normally bet so much), they were up by 1, with .6 seconds left and they were inbounding behind the 3~point arc.; a 2~pointer and I still lose. The ball gets thrown into Steve Nash, he just turns and launches a 3 from almost half~court to make the halftime lead 4, and I win the bet.

college and pro football, with reference to freak last-second or minute plays killing some beautiful middles - I got ass-burgled on a Louisville game (earlier this year) 2nd half point total middle when the STARTING QB, ahead by 15 points with 13 seconds left in the game and at the other team's 3 yard line, and it being 2nd or 3rd down with the other team having NO timeouts and hence cannot stop the game from ending, calls a time-out. CALLS A TIME-OUT!!! That prick smiled and skipped over to coachie, pleads and whines and begs and coachie says 'yeah, go for the meaningless TD', and he skips back out onto the field, calls his fellow ass-pirates into the huddle, comes out and gives it to the RB on a wide sweep - NOT up the middle - and the RB scored BARELY on the last play of the game. I will never forget that play and the utter uselessness of it as long as I live - it was the first-string offense, 13 seconds, absolutely ridiculous - and I don't buy that 'they just want to play' bullshit when the ass-wipe QB calls a TIME-OUT with 13 seconds left AND a 15-fvcking point lead!

Miaplus3, I hear ya with those empty net goals. You feel so helpless as the puck is sliding down the ice with nobody to stop it.

What does the W stand for in WNBA. I understand NBA but the W throws me for a loop. Surely not Women's, nobody would bet real money on women's basketball. Except, of course, The General with his <due for a cycle> theory.

Horse racing by far - especially Jumps Horse racing. The two that stick out by far are in 1994 - willsford backed at 6/1 for 1000 GBP jumps the last in a driving finish goes a length a half clear and jockey doesn't look where he is going and runs on to the wrong course and is disqualified. Ile de chypre backed at 10/1 for 400 gb pounds goes 5 lengths clear inside the last 100 yards and veers violently to the left and jockey falls off.

i have many other horses fall at the last when 20 lengths clear etc but these came to mind as they were for nice wins.
