Which SB team called the First Timeout?

I was looking at Db.com and they didn't grade that prop.

Anybody know who called the first timeout.

The first time-out was called by Carolina. They lost challange.


4-1-CAR 38 (9:04) 32-A.Smith right guard to CAR 37 for 1 yard (54-W.Witherspoon, 55-D.Morgan). Play Challenged by CAR and Upheld. (Timeout #1 by CAR.) R6
1-10-CAR 37 (8:52) 12-T.Brady pass to 82-D.Graham to CAR 34 for 3 yards (55-D.Morgan).
2-7-CAR 34 (8:09) PENALTY on CAR-77-K.Jenkins, Defensive Offside, 5 yards, enforced at CAR 34 - No Play. (Play was stopped due to unabated access to the quarterback.)

Wilheim, you are incorrect.

Carolina did not call a time out. They challenged and lost the challenge. The ref charged them a timeout.

Check don best, number 240, patriots first team to CALL a timeout, marked a win.

Wilheim is correct, per Olympic disclaimer Carolina called the 1st Timeout, as after they lost challenge there were charged a TO, stat's NFL.com

this is how I see this Prop winning , if a team actually SIGNALS a timeout not being charged with it, IMO is not calling a time out

Depends how disclaimer was written, this is why books that copy and paste have problems as they have no clue how prop was written

Cris is right. A lot of books out there who don't offer props on a regular basis, suddenly copy other books props for the SB, and there is always a problem.

Last year I wagered on under 1 1/2 "lost fumbles". There were 2 fumbles, but neither of them lost. At first my wagers were graed as a loss. Took a while before they were corrected

Per Olympics disclaimer, you guys graded your bets under those rules.

However as the prop was written on the don best screen, number 240, it was graded as a win for the patriots.

Most books copied the wording off don best as that is where their lines are displayed.

Carolina did not CALL the first time out.

Was thinking the same thing durig the game.
We had a fun pool of 4 pages of props, and when the challenge occurred we were trying to figure out how to score it ourselves (until we realized we all picked the same teamand it didn't matter)

I am not sure what the disclaimer was at the book in question but where I work our prop was worded "Team to call first time out", in other words they have to make the T sign and ask for it, not get charged with it....

Getting charged with a time out should be an entirely different prop.

So where I work we graded it as Pats when they called for time, not when Carolina was charged with a time out from the refs
