I think acw posts from Macau, which is about as far as you can get while still being in the northern hemisphere. I post from Hungary which isn't exactly next door either.

Darryl Parsons posts from Hungary, which is further away than Iceland. Even further away is Asia and I know I have seen at least one poster from the Far East.

Anyway what's the point? We're all in cyberspace.

No point Woody, just like to get to know people...we're all in cyber space but 15 years ago we would have never known each other.:digit:

J-man,

I'm originally from Canada, but my parents are Hungarian (but still in Canada) and I've been living in Budapest for 14 years now. Nice place, good private banking and cute chicks. Y'all should come visit sometime :monkey:

And good food too I may add. Been there twice in the past. Hungary has always been light years ahead of all other eastern european countries.

Good to hear TOW...yes, forgot to mention, food is great too...

J-man, cost of living is a bit less than USA but only by about 10-20%. We're officially in the EU now so the availability of products & services is the same as in the west. English is the no. 1 second language, so no problems communicating either. Crime is also lower than in US cities of the same size.

People generally don't work as hard as Americans yet when you tell them that they get offended. If you see a construction site for example you'll see one guy working and 5 guys standing around watching. If you go to a shopping mall during a regular business day you'll see hundreds of people who supposedly should be working. In America, go to any shopping mall at 2 in the afternoon on a business day and you'll pretty much only see retired folks, young mothers with babies, and people who's job it is to be there. At least this is my experience.

oh ya , you never see that in the U.S. ... you also never see a road crew working on the same stretch of highway for 3 years with one guy who looks like he is working and 11 other guys supervising him...

I was fortunate enough to go in 1991. I agree, there are many beautiful girls and the "bath houses" are fun as well.

A great culture and city.
