I guess you can't say the Iowa/Fla Bowl game had the worst officiating. It was clear the officials, and specifically the two linesmen, made exactly the calls they were paid to make. By that standard I would call it bagged officiating, not bad officiating.

Gotta be the last Super Bowl. There's probably been worse reffing, but never in such a big game.

In my lifetime, nothing comes close to the Florida-FSU game in 2003.

Illini, my RX Bash Brother, now you know just one of the reasons I Hate and despise the Hated and Dreaded CRIMINOLES. That was a 13 million dollar payoff for the ACC. By Felony State winning that game, the ACC got 2 teams in the BCS. If Florida had won, they would have gone to the SEC champ game over Georgia due to a better finish in the polls. If F$U did not have Florida A&M in Tallacrappy, they would not get near the players that they get. That is my story and I am sticking to it. LT:finger: Screw Felony State!

This game might not rate right up there with some of those. But in last cfb season the Sooners of Oklahoma got Royaly shafted out in west Tex-ass in Lubbock.
The game was called fairly even until this one final play. This guy no more scored than i can fly!! But they have him the TD an that was that. It was such a BAD call that many Texans said "well ifn ya cant beat em, cheat em".
Enuff said about that as there will be a day real soon when Stoops will unleash fury on those Red Raiders. WRITE this down!

Everybody already forget the "tuck rule" that they put in for New England against Oakland. The worst call in pro football history. This made New England team a dynasty a few years later. How soon people forget or maybe it didn't matter to you guys because the point spread didn't come into play here.

Desregarding whether it was or was not the correct call, the line was NE minus 3. NE won in OT by 3. How can anyone say the pointspread didn't come into play?

David Aldridge disagrees with me, though...he thinks Game 6 of the LA-Sacramento Western Conference Finals, when LA went to the FT line 27 times in the 4th quarter, was awful...just found a great column of his. http://espn.go.com/nba/playoffs2002/columns/aldridge_david/1389713.html

funny how most people mention this but FAIL to mention how awful the officials were in G5 - against the lakers. despite that the lakers led by 1 with a few seconds left when the kings inbounded the ball and bibby ran around a webber screen to hit the game winning shot. ONE SLIGHT PROBLEM in all this - when bibby hit the shot he took advantage of one of the most OBVIOUS and BLATANT moving screens in NBA history set by Webber - something that was NEVER called - even though it should have been - and had it been called the Lakers WIN G5. so for all those who say the kings got screwed in G6 i say YES - you are right. HOWEVER - the Lakers got screwed every bit as hard in G5 so the way i look at it - they evened out and so SHUT UP and stop crying about G6 unless you want to take alook at G5, too - which NO ONE ever does
