I see Okla/Col as a shootout with Colorado squeaking within the spread. What do you guys think?

It depends on the weather, but I'm leaning towards the over with OU-Colorado. Three scores is a tough cover for any team. Especially in a league championship game. I'm looking at Auburn as being the most likely cover. They can probably handle 13 points. I woudn't want it to be any more, even though they beat Tennessee easily earlier in the year these games are very seldom played the same twice. USC is iffy on the spread too. They're facing a better offense this week than they did with Notre Dame. The over might be a good play in this one too.

I'm thinking Colorado is getting TOO MANY Points in this one.....I would have them getting under 20 if I set lines

Auburn -13 looks about right
USC -22.5 may also be a little high

Colorado stinks, I hate to say it but OU could easily cover here. I would love nothing more than to see a huge upset like last years big 12 championship, but OU is too tough.

USC/UCLA should be a great overs game, commentators on ESPN were talking of how UCLA only has a shot at upsetting USC by trying to out-shoot them. Cross town rivalry, maybe this is the one that doesn't cover.

Auburn should cover easily. Win by 20. Big win like last time.

I would go for UCLA as the cover.

Usually I'm wrong,so fade these and you'll probably be alright :suomi:

Good Luck!

USC will cover even if Pete Carroll has to go for 2 with 5 seconds left in the game to do so

AU should cover by half and then lay it on TN in the 2nd half

CU is going to keep this one close with the game not decided until the 4th quarter...

I actually LOVE Colorado in the game versus OU. Of all the teams in the B12 they are the ones (mostly coaching staff) that have not backed down from them and in the past have played them fairly well without having a solid QB. If I am not mistaken, 2 of last 3 meetings CU rushed for over 200 yds.

I think SC can name the score against UCLA. This teams just flips a switch. They remind me of the old Don James UW teams that won Natl Championships in early 90's. Just when you thought you had them, they would score and never stop until time ran out.

If Shaffer plays for Tennessee, I think they can keep the game close. They will run and run and run some more and shorten the game. Auburn defense does not handle mobile QB's well. Problem is knowing how many snaps he would get and how sharp he would be IF he plays. I know the Auburn OC Borges has made great improvements in QB Campbell but he is due a meltdown and this would be the perfect stage for it. This is a team that has not been tested since the LSU game.

What mobile QB has gave Auburn trouble since they have the fastest Defense in the SEC? And I have to say being down to AL at bryant denny 6-0 at half is some what of a test. Not to mention Playing at TN and agaisnt GA.

HookEmHorns, don't EVER believe what you hear on ESPN. Goldbarf and Hornsplat can't even pick SU winners at a decent rate unless the game is laid out in braille!

AUSCOTTY,

Just so you don't think I am "Jaking" you by talking about mobile QB vs the Auburn Tiger Defense...
2003 - GT 17, Aub 3
GT QB Reggie Ball kept them honest my moving around in the pocket and scrambling for yards
2003 - Aub 10, Ark 7
Ark QB Matt Jones kept them honest my moving around in the pocket and scrambling for yards
2002 - Aub 37, Syr 34
Cuse QB's Troy Nunes and RJ Anderson of Syracuse did the same getting to the corner and making big plays
2002 - Ark 38, Aub 17
Hogs QB Jones went wild with his legs and arms
2002 Bowl Aub 13, Penn St 9
QB Robinson came in and kept Nittany Lions in the game

These were the last mobile QB's they have played since 02 and they did not cover in any of these games. Same defensive scheme but, as a matter of fact the '02/03 defenses with Dansby and crew were a bit better, don't you think.

Just a thought,

Peace!!

good points all winone I was thinking more on this yr as defense is actually built around speed and although lacking the big names has played much better

Any of the 3 undefeateds could very well lose on Sat. Will be VERY interesting to see how the refs call the games on Sat. There is liable to be MAJOR BCS bias.

Winone,

good point... maybe Tennessee should go back in time and play Auburn in 2002/2003 - this years D may not have the big names like last year @ LB but top to bottom they are better - how do we know this? B/c they ar eone of the best defenses in the country! Don't rely on ESPNClassic for trends in Auburn games.

Schaffer hasn't played in a while and if you remember when he got in against Aubrun (AT HOME) he looked like a fool; Auburn knows what is on the line and will TCB this one early...

BTW the reason AUB didn't cover and/or lost those games is b/c they lacked an offense - now TN should really get to the time machine....

I see no chance for an upset in this weekends games for the big 3 and this season will bring down the BCS system as it is almost sensless to argue that any one of these 3 teams should be left out of the title picture. Also leaving Texas out of the BCS mix is further insult to the ridiculous BS system. I believe these 3 teams will be out to run up the score to score points with the pollsters.

If I were going to pick an underdog in these 3 games, I would choose Colorado as they have won 6 straight games I believe. Tenn. just barely beat Kentucky who have only won 2 games this year.... Indiana and Vandy and beat Vandy 14-13. Auburn and USC are a shoo in !
