Anything could happen in the Belmont, one slip and Smarty is just another horse Triple Crown Hopeful eaten by the Belmont.

The low scoring Pistons winning 4 different times, much harder.

Because a horse breaking down always looms Probably the Lakers. I do think Smarty has a better chance of winning in a blowout.I think the Pistons can grab 2 of 7

I can see a Bookie like Rio throwing the 'lock' word about. Then again can't tell who is who, I have no scorecard. Smarty and LA. being large favorites is a given. Imo, Detroit might get a street fight attitude and give the Lakers a hard time. Smarty may step on a safety pin like Bid did. I've seen the unbeatable horse get beat more than just a few times. That said, Smarty gets there.

Agree with Journeyman here.....

Long series favors the worldbeaters.....overrated short race by horses can be won by any of a number of horses...

Go to the window, bet the Lakers, go back to the window in a week and collect.

Big game for Detroit but as for the series nothing has been decided. Spurs were up 2-0 on Lakers. Beating S.A. four straight to win in six was quite a feat. Still, I'd really like to see the hard trying Pistons upset this series.

You're right Jim. But four straight is four straight. Really didn't think anyone could do that to the Spurs.

Usually when someone says "lock" in a forum it only jinxes one team or player, but this time it killed Smarty and the Lakers.
