Which is more racist, the Indians logo or the Redskins logo

Clearly the Redskins logo is more respectful and honors the heritage of American Indian. The Cleveland logo is a caricature that harkens back to the blackface logo of the 20's, 30's and 40's. Which team is getting the most pressure, the Redskins yet I believe their team name and logo should be looked at with pride. The Cleveland Indians face is way more offensive. The Indians could easily remove from their uniform and all team merchandise. I can see why Dan Snyder is taking a stand.

If Indians don't like the Redskins' logo, they're completely free to make fun of the Cowboys or the Vikings.

Racism is the belief that one's race is better/superior than another (or other) race/s.

How are those logos "racist"?

The politically correct world we live in (ie, liberals) have completely redefined "racist" and "racism". A black man can criticize another black man and its fine....but if a white man criticizes a black man he's a racist. Regardless if the black man is rightfully being criticized.

Not the logos themselves but I could see an argument that they are the 'mascot' rest of the other teams mascots are fictional or animals. If there was a team called the Mexicans or the another minority group, we all know that would not be allowed

the first thing most non-native americans think of when they see the indians or redskins logo is how inferior native americans are to their own race, that's what makes those logos racist.

just like when I watch all the black players on the Chicago Bulls.

What would you think of a team with a symbol stereotypical of African-Americans.....say with an afro hairdo, large lips, flat nose maybe eating a slice of watermelon ? That sure wouldn't last long ! What would a good team name be ?
