Which is better...the single life or the married life?

While others are dreading the holidays, I'm loving it as a single guy. No in-laws, no long
shopping list for kids, none of the frenetic to-do list.

But I can't help but wonder...is the married life better?

I wonder what percentage of marriages are happy after the 7-10 year mark. My guess
is < 30%.

Perhaps the ideal marriage situation: The in-laws live across the country and rarely visit. And
the mother-in-law is cool and never gets in your business. That might persuade me.

i seen too many of my buddies on the 2nd wife ect, single in the day and time for me.............you got to love going out and watching some of these guys that the wife has them by the balls..................

Married for sure. Been happily married for 14+ years. In-laws live in FL, and visit 2 times a year (8-10 days per visit), which is about all that I can take. Mother in law is sweet woman, but drives me absolutely insane. After about 4-5 days, I am watching the clock non-stop. Couldn't imagine experiencing the holidays without my wife and kids, best time of the year.

I'm kind of the opposite as I love the Holidays & having someone/people special to spend it with.

But I can see where they both have their advantages...

I've been married for 18 years. It's been the happiest 3 years of my life.

My wife says that I'm very happy.....and lucky to have her.

Have been both. Both have their advantages for sure.

I'd say I would prefer to be married and probably will be again someday.

Single life is pretty awesome though too. It's 51/49

married life is so over-rated, you will find a lot of people once they been married for some time and out of it will never get married again.it so 1970's ect to be complete you have to be married...............not

heck i have a buddy here in nc that married a hooter girl 18 yrs ago, they have 2 kids and just went separated way this yr, now he paying her 8 grand a month and he letting her live in his vegas home for 2 yrs at no cost and the bitch want more..............plus he gave her 300,000 to get the hell out
