It's tough to pick some of those guys who have been at their schools for a long time because they aren't experienced at team building.

Picking a coach to start a program and to run an established national presence are two different things

I don't see how you don't have Ben Howland on there??? Mind boggling.
Pitino is a great coach, but he never really had to build a program so to speak, everywhere he coaches except maybe providence had great tradition and history.
Calipari has turned 2 nothing programs and taken them to the final 4 with Umass and Memphis but he does recruit some shady kids that programs with real academic institutions don't usually touch. He's good though.
Calhoun is legit, I don't think UCONN had any history but he's turned them into one of the premier programs in the country.
Howland built 3 programs, NAU, Pitt, and rebuilt UCLA from the abomination that was the Steve Lavin tenure. Howland is legit and one of the best fundamental coaches in the game. He just needs to stop choking in the big dance or it will begin to haunt him.
ANother guy who's real legit is Izzo, that guy can flat out coach.

Izzo is great, but Pitino took over a Kentucky program coming of real trouble and had not done anything in 15 years and UCLA doesn't have tradition?

Pitino, had he stayed would have had a better career than the Rat at Duke.

the maker of men, the man that puts kids into the NBA, Calhoun.

Cal would only be interested in your program if you play in a mid-major conference.

I dont follow a lot of these guys back to where they started, but Calhoun turned Uconn into a power and changed the whole school and it's perception.

Coach K would suck at a mediocre program with no reputation like Duke's.

Calipari for me
