Following a thrilling weekend of regional action, the field for the 2016 Men's Frozen Four in Tampa is set. North Dakota, Boston College, Denver and Quinnipiac will be packing their sunscreen for the trip to Amalie Arena, home of the Tampa Bay Lightning, April 7-9.

That December winless streak actually started in a two-game series against North Dakota. However, Denver ended up making up for it by sweeping UND on home ice back in mid-February. They tied the Fighting Hawks in the NCHC third-place game just last week.
Jim Montgomery, who was part of the historic 1992-93 University of Maine team that won a national title, will lead DU into the Frozen Four for the first time since he took over the bench in 2013-14. He won two USHL titles with the Dubuque Fighting Saints prior to making the jump to Denver.

The trio, known more commonly as the “Pacific Rim Line” with all three hailing from western locales (British Columbia, Washington and California), has been outstanding all year long.
This quartet of teams all have a lot of firepower and there will be no shortage of strong NHL prospects on display. It's going to be an absolutely stellar finish to the college hockey season.
