I'll be routing for the Pacific, but the Central division looks stacked. No Crosby?

Definitely between the Metro and Central. I think the difference is in net for the Metro.

Are you going to bet the over in all three periods/games?

I’m excited to see this 3 on 3 format but will really miss the cash cow the NHL All-star game total has been over the last decade+.

The biggest question for me when I first heard about this format was what kind of total do they post? Considering a posted total on a normal all-star game was around 15 what kind of number can you possibly put on this type of exhibition. They’ll be numerous 2 on 0s and it makes no difference who’s in net. 75% of the time there is a goal within 5 minutes of a regular season OT this year, and that’s with defense being played. What happens when there’s no defense? Or no hitting? Will the $1,000,000 to the winning division change they way these guys approach it? Will they play tighter? What about the endurance factor? Will the totals drop when the last two divisions play for the title after already playing a game? What happens if a team is down by 3 or 4 goals with 5 minutes left. You know they’ll be pulling goalies. So many questions that we can only speculate to answer.

I think they’ll be 9 goals every period. This number is purely from the gut. I don’t think they’ll be a goal every other minute but it’ll be close. Even at 9 you know the public will be on the over. Maybe 10 is the right number just to get 2 way action.

Love to hear other thoughts.

I can't wait to see how the books put up lines on these. I'll be watching the line movement on the second game while the first is going, because I'm a nerd like that.

I think the totals will be anywhere from 9.5 to 10.5, the total on the second game will be very volatile while the first game is going on.
