Wouldn't this be factored into the line. I see a lot of questions on here that would be as well known by the line-makers, it would be nice to see something he doesnt.

Iowa State is 25-3 in Hilton Coliseum under Wayne Morgan. However, they have a 28 game conference road game losing streak. They haven't won a big 12 game on the road since '01 at KState. Those two records alone should give you an idea of how much better of a team ISU is at home, and how great a home court advantage Hilton is.

The thread title should be "who has the second best homecourt advatage after duke". I have been fortunate enough to attend games at many great venues and there is no doubt in my mind that Duke is way beyond any other college home court. I have been to home games at: tenn, miami, fsu, florida, kansas, kentucky, Ill, Misoouri, NC, Wake, tech, Vandy among others. I have not been to the carrier dome yet. I have been told that ST. Johns home games played at I think they call it "alumni hall?" back in the early 90's/ late 80's were great also.

Just curious, what did you think of the experience at Vanderbilt's Memorial Gymnasium? I happen to think it is one of the most exciting atmospheres in all of college basketball.

A couple of others that have been tough for opposing teams through the years are New Mexico State and West Virginia University. Old Fitzgerald Fieldhouse in Pittsburgh was a doozie as well.

The majority of posters here would never guess IOWA STATE.

As OKLAHOMA found out yesterday, it was no picnic in the park.

Iowa State is 3 to 1 over its in-state rival Iowa for atmosphere and electricity on the hardwood............sorry to say.

PS- the study was done by the Raleigh (N.C.) News & Observer over the last decade. Without a doubt one of the very toughest places to play for any opponent.

Didn't affect Kansas much this year.

Though Fish is right Iowa State has very good home court.

Wisky is still one of the most difficult places to play.

Illinois is tough

Vanderbilt with the benches at the end of the court is difficult.

Northern Iowa is tough on other teams shooters.

I always thought the Rack and Alumni Hall at St. Johns were ultra tough.

Home court's aren't as tough as they were the college players today play too much basketball to be affected by fans and stuff.

I have been to games at Alumni Hall as my sister used to go there. The noise that little space can make is ridiculous. I could see why teams hated playing there.

I believe Wichita State has a tough home court as strong teams have come in there & walked out with a L.

Iowa State is a tough place to play in & over the years they tend to do much better win wise & almost pulling off upset wise at home compared to the road.

vvv- I have only been there once, but I an tell you was very, very nice. I was fortunate enough to see a great game to as they played UF. It is hard to give a fair assesment based only just one game, but if every game was like that, I have to say anyone who plays there is very lucky to do so.

At one time (early 60's thru early 70's) it was almost impossible for visitors to win at Pauley Pavillion. I doubt if there has ever been a tougher place for a visitor to win than at Pauley during the glory years of John Wooden' UCLA Bruins.

I'll give a top 5.

1. Hawaii-shocked no one mentioned this, brutal road trip and homer referees.
2. Gonzaga- In the middle of nowhere, name teams insist on neutral sites for fear of getting killed.
3. Vandy- end of court benches make this a toughie.
4. Duke- something about Cameron Indoor that reeks of mystique.
5. New Mexico- even when they are mediocre, Lobos are tough out in Pit.
