Where do you guys recommend. Also, are there free drinks served while you watch the games or do you get drink tickets when you place your bet?

And any recommendations on good strip joints? I think someone mentioned the crazy horse before.

The policies are always changing as far as free drinks, I can't keep up with them. Drink tickets are easy to score in most places as long as you are betting more than a $10 bill so I wouldn't worry too much about getting free drinks. Just go wherever you end up and when making a bet ask for the tickets. If you don't need them, they will tell you that.

mvbski,

I hope Club Paradise is doing something illegal, I would LOVE to have those scumbags in handcuffs, in fact I will be notifying LVPD, ASAP. I play tennis with an undercover police officer in Vegas, thanks for the heads up.

The Crazy Horse is the best as far as strip joints in Vegas, with the Olympic Garden, Cheetas and Spearment Rhino close behind.

Crazy Horse 2 and Olympic Gardens my favs for strip bars.

As far as drinks. If you sit down in the Racebook the drinks are all comps. Just tip the broads. The problem is the place is too packed to really get a buzz. Rio the best.

Sportsbooks..Comps and Hospitality aren't what they used to be, but for environs try SuperHilton, Mirage, The Dust, HRC, Mandaly Bay..for props try Dust, IP, CP, Ballys..for card odds try the Coast properties..but still bring your laptop and dial offshore!

Strip Clubs try CH2, Olympic, and Cheetahs.

For a tip from a local wiseguy try catching a few at Celebrity Deli during brunch hours, or Cafe Michelle and Tillerman's for dinner..take a date to Rosemary's.

As far as Sports goes, Vegas died years ago, it's a Slots, Poker, Golf, & Dining Destination now, with bad buffets and $100 shows tossed on top..Buy a 60 inch big screen and just stay home is my call(you'll save money too!).

Horseshoe- Well said. You obviously know Las Vegas.

peteep- Have fun on your visit here but realize that Las Vegas got out of the gambling business a long time ago. The sports books are a joke. You have no shot at the tables and the slot and video poker machines are very tight. Bring your laptop and/or phone so you can bet offshore. If you have to bet someplace, the Coast properties will give you a reasonably fair shake.

As far as the strip joints go, stay far away from the Crazy Horse. It's a drug infested dive. The place is bad news. Club Paradise and Olympic Garden are pretty good. There's an all nude place called Little Darlings. It's a bit out of the way but you will enjoy it and they have some really good beaver shows there.

Are the books just full of dirty people, or is there something majorly wrong with them? The reviews that I've read make a lot of them sound pretty nice (of course). I was thinking about heading out for my 21st b-day, but maybe I'll just buy a tv and stay here

For those looking to tour the Vegas strip clubs in the near future, be advised that Jaguars and the Leopard Lounge lost their liquor licenses over the past two days (result of political corruption indictment of the former owner, who has since sold his interest in the clubs to his father).

bryan: you owe it to yourself to spend a weekend in the Las Vegas sports books just so you can judge them for yourself. I recommend the first weekend of March Madness.
