Game 5: Matsuzaka

The Red Sox could lose in 4 or 5 games having seen Beckett and Lester only once. Scary.

Beckett right now is the least scary of their top three. I'd rather have the Rays face him than Dice-K or Lester. Overall I think the Rays have the pitching edge so the Sox will need a big series from a few hitters, namely Ortiz and Bay.

As a Sox fan I have to say this pitching line up is fucking retarded. Beckett is clearly not healthy, and Wake should NOT be pitching in Boston. He is unhittable in a dome... I hope this doesn't bite them in the ass but they are dropping the ball on this one.

I like the rotation except for Wakefield, I think he should be coming out of the bull pen. Especially in Boston, Game 4 is not looking so hott right now.

Even though Wakefield has a successful career against TB, but he is not use to be anymore, beside TB is a diff. team now. Starting him in the dome w/ 75oF in Fla. is dangerous. Right now 1 start at home could be better, because 55oF balls won't travel that far in this NE weather. Dice K 9-0 on the road this year. My option is:
Dice K (Right)
Lester (left)
Try to steal 1 of these 2 games.
Beckett (Power ball)
Wakefield (soft ball)
Dice K
Lester
If it has to be game 7, Beckett,Wakefield, Paul Bird, Dice K, each will have 2 inn.

either way i dont think beckett should be starting game 2. lester or wake. keep becket for the fenway faithful

i agree about dice k. some players/teams are just more focused on the road and he is. think its a toss up between him and wakefield.

just re-read my first post i meant to have lester game 2,6 beckett 3,7. and in game 7 have dice k readily available is what i intended
