I'm sure this is true. Bottom line kid didn't wanna eat crow due to constantly stating throughout the season that the Cubs had 0% chance to win the WS, so he orchestrated an escape.

As someone who studies every game of every day for many years now, its apparent the Cubs were one of the best championship teams in a long time. Hence why they were literally -200 to win the NL Central coming into '16. I know you're a huge Cubs fan so you don't need me telling you this but it was pretty obvious in like May that they could have the makings of a dynasty team

And he said that team had "0%" of winning it all?? That's not good evaluating or recognition at all

But kudos to him for keeping his word. Not sure his reasoning for being down on a legit Dynasty team but at least he stands by the bet
