Pedro has been smarter than sharp. Making Soriano chase outside sliders. Giambi chasing high heat.

Most importantly he threw inside and controled the whole plate.

Yankees could use some of their fine clutch hitters of recent past like Martinez, Brocious and O'Neill. Those guys were smart and could work a count and be patient against a guy like Pedro and get his pitch count up if nothing else. Too many free swingers have replaced those guys. Jeter and Bernie still smart but most of rest are not.
