Come on boys, how many times are we going to go over this discussion here?
JJ,
I like you alot kid, but once and for all, listen to me, and listen to me well..
If a line is -3-110 like you want it, right. Now a book writes 20 dimes at -3-110, then goes to -3-20, then writes another 20 dimes, now what should the book do JJ?? Go to -3.5? NO!! Some books will, and some books will move to -3-30 in order to not get middled on the 3. It's very risky that 3 JJ.. So books will move the money, rather than the line.. NO book wants to get middled jj.. Books do this only to save their ass, and avoid getting hurt. If books moved from 3 to 3.5 always instead of moving it to -3-125, there would be a lot of books getting more hurt who don't have deep pockets. But books that move on money are only protecting themselves..
Also, in hockey, when a line is 5 ov -125, there is nothing the book can do here. They just have to keep it that way, and here is why. A half a puck on the total is worth between 50 and 55 cents.. So if the real line is 5 ov -125, you CANNOT make it 5 ov-110 or 5.5 un -110. You just can't.. Because if a line is 5 ov -125, you will kill book if you go over 5 -110 and kill book if you go under 5.5 -110.. Do you see where i'm getting at. IF a half a puck wasn't worth so much, you can do it. But not in hockey totals. When the line is 5 ov -125 or 5 ov -130, u have to keep line like that, bec if you make it -110 both way, the book will get clobbered..
