Where are all the Hope and Change Cheerleaders?

During the election year, this place was buzzing every day with all
the Obama cheer leaders, touting that he will be the greatest thing
since sliced bread.

Now here we are a year later, and they are all silent.

Who will be the first kool-aid drinker to stand up and admit that
they were duped?

Now here we are a year later, and they are all silent.

Well, all the heavy lifting was done last summer and fall.

I - and all the Obama voters I know personally - still feel plenty fine about our vote.

But making a big deal about it now - especially in a venue like this one - only elicits Replies that are either angry, overly disparaging, or some combination of both.

Why bother?

I've got another two months of MLB to cap, four months of NFL and CFB, three months of NHL, two months of NBA and CBB....and that just gets me through to January.

Meanwhile, I've little complaint about what's going on in Washington DC, though frankly I don't give it a whole lot of attention anyway.

According to this video, they have left the room.

Most.....Most people would never admit being wrong. It's not in their nature. Two of my main complaints about Bush is that he gave us Iraq, and he gave us Obama.

I voted for Obama, and would do so again without hesitation.

I won't lie and say some things haven't pleased me (abandoning the idea of lobbyists being part of his admin for one).

Mock the whole "hope" thing all you want. But once again the campaigns were cast as Hope vs. Fear. Of course some people voted for him simply because they wanted change, some voted for him simply because he was black. Doesn't change the fact that the country was willing to elect a virtual political rookie compared to a war hero. Do you think a good portion of the voting public might just have been a bit tired of the bullshit of the past 8 years?

The fact is, just because some people thought he'd right the ship overnight, does not mean that if they could go back in time that they'd vote for McCain.

Obama inherited a failing economy, a banking collapse, an auto industry in disarray, 2 foreign wars, and an infrastructure that had been essentially ignored. Plenty of blame to go around. But anyone who thought that the initial popularity of having him in office wouldn't wear off quickly was kidding themselves.

Given the same choices that I had last fall, 100% he'd have my vote again. Given the same choices as last fall, he'd win again if the election were held today.

Did it ever occur to you think that the current criticism is because people are tired of the bullshit of the last 8 months.

Hope to Fear in record time.

One question. Where are the billions of dollars going to come from that he promised to cut? He promised to cut out billions of dollars of waste. I'm waiting.

Except for when you're trying to derail threads, correct?
