Not sure if this is the right area for this thread but what the heck...does anyone know when you can start to bet sports in Delaware? and if they will have Vegas style sportsbooks or what? anyone know anything i appreciate it...id love to go down right from the get go for week 1 of NFL if there up and running for it...:toast:
As of right now I believe it is just parlay betting. I know they are trying to legalize single game betting but I believe that is going to the higher courts of Delaware and a decision has not been made yet.
Delaware had a sports lottery -- basically parlay betting -- for one football season, back in 1976. It failed miserably. But for years the state legislature has been trying to bring it back to take advantage of an increased interest in gaming both nationwide and locally, especially along the condensed mid-Atlantic seaboard, where several states have gaming of some kind. However, former Gov. Ruth Ann Minner opposed the idea.
From todays news. The New Jersey governor is trying desperately to get sports betting in NJ.
