I agree. 2 fewer seasons eith AZ but he actually won more games with them. Being so close, usually the later team is favored. PLus, he won a WS with them.
I heard on local sports radio that Johnson had an option for a personal services contract for 1 year after he retired and that he may not exercise that option. The sportscasters were speculating that the Diamondbacks low-balled him after his contract was up so he decided to go to NY and that he held a grudge against the D-Backs.
MLB decides now since Wade Boggs tried to go in wearing a Devil Ray's cap. I think they'll give him a D'backs cap but he was on the Mariners longer so that wouldn't be a terrible choice.
