It's in October. It was the 13th this year I think. In all other respects it seems identical to American Thanksgiving, except without the football and shopping.

BillDozer.. Feathers? We don't need any stinking feathers.

Jay Leno.. I'll take the Canadian Government over that joke American Goverment anytime.

Dante.. Most places do have sugar in their Ice Tea. I think I've only run across 1 or 2 places that didn't.

That's a bit of a myth, Jay. The latestest reports indicate there were at least 4 guys in Alberta and about a dozen in Ontario that are not getting handouts.

BD, it's true about the feathers. The government felt plucking the birds was cruel. If you want a featherless bird you have to pay a 12% plucking tax but that is only on the 2 standard issue birds that each citzen gets.

Canadians celebrating Thanksgiving??? Am I the only one here that thinks that is strange? I mean, did the Pilgrims stop off in Montreal for a Molsons on the way back to the home country?

Every day is Thanksgiving Day in Canada.

When a Canadian wakes up in the morning the first thing they should do is thank the USA for buying Canadian made goods, hiring Canadians and protecting their Country.

Happy Thanksgiving Canada

Every Thansgiving every Canadian should wake and thank the US for planting mad cow disease, for the gun crime, the lumber embargo and obviously the quality TV? (temptation island etc). Not forgeting to thank Mr Bush for screwing the US up to such a level that the whole world suffers.

Bones:

WTF R U talking about> I asked two simple questions about Canadian Thanksgiving..

1. When is it celebrated and
2. Is the dinner of choice the same as in US.

How is that a diss?

Now a 3rd Question: Why was the date of Canadian Thanksgiving selected?
