I dunno, I mean I guess it depends on how you define hope. Was there any hope for the people that went aboard the Titanic that were dead meat and didn't know it would be so soon? We're all aboard the Titanic and the ship is going down. It doesn't matter how much money we win in the ship's casino in the next 30 years, because all of the contents are going to sink, guaranteed. It doesn't matter how much fun we have to take our mind off of our impending doom. It doesn't matter if we in the U.S. manage to avoid in our lifetimes all of the things that are going to eventually destroy the country. It sure as hell doesn't matter if the Cubs win a World Series, just as it didn't matter 5 minutes after my Cardinals came back from 10.5 out with 30 to play and then won it all. None of this shit means anything. And then you die.
Hope? If it doesn't rescue me from my coming destruction then it doesn't mean anything to me and I don't call it hope.
Fortunately I do have hope because I do believe in the Lordship of Christ. I do believe that we will suffer and eventually die here because of our sin, but I do believe that there is a God who cares and that there is redemption. I look at the stars and contemplate how big God is, and I crack up laughing at how awesome He is and how many dimensions there are that we cannot know or see at this time. That's what I'm living for. That's hope, to me.
Sorry, since i'm not like this, but I think most of us, atheists and theists, are thinking the same. Mate, everybody has a voice. One is not the only one. Once you learn that, we will let you back in our play circle. Until then, piss of and find a forum of small minded like you.
I am a nice person, but i can never accept anyone putting down another based on religion, abilities, etc. We all have a limitation, and we all have to live on this earth.
u start preaching at all of us. Since everyone has their own choice of religion or non religion, i call this preaching. Especially since this is a sportsbook site and not a religious site.
I maybe didn't see what was putting you down. I do understand being put down for being an atheist, not like any other religion. However, you acting and reacting like you are doing is not helping anything.
This is a wonderful community that allows people to talk about their differences, yet for the most part we all get along. We need to have people with open brains for this of course. We still have some stuck in their boots, but they have proven they are good guys, and we respect them always.
I'm not a hypocrite. A hypocrite says one thing and does another. Learning the English language will be a good strength for you. I say my mind, always. Ask everyone; and as much as i may piss off others, i always speak my mind. Thankfully, i have a lot of backing and years in the biz.
