A write up is very important.
Any Bozo can throw a pick a team blindfolded and post it as a play.
If you want me to tail you, tell me why Pitcher A will shut down Team B, or why Team C has trouble scoring in a day game following a night game.................

Ive asked the same in a similar thread Jake, whether or not writeups are important when following a capper.

In my opinion now, for 2 reasons.....

1. If they have shown success over time, why do you need to know their reasoning?

2. To follow up on reason #1 and go a little deeper, a case & arguement can ALWAYS be made for the opposide side of a capper play & writeup. So basically they are irrelevant. Either you trust them, or you don't, simple as that.

Just my opinion though....:toast:

If a guy walked up and gave you $1,000 do you care why? If a guy picks winners on a consistant basis I don't care if he gets them in a couch cushion.

I just want to know if the capper knows what he's doing is all.

No reason gets no discussion.
Since being here I have learned a ton.
From people that give some analysis.

These posts tend to have more responses and intercourse. lol

If ya get phucked ya wanna know why!

I like the thoughts that Buffettgambler and Sherwood give. Sometimes the play doesn't pan out, but their reasoning behind the play makes you look for that same situation in the future.

(Hey coach waddup?)

reasoning is only window dressing. Heres a thought for you, if youve been doing this hobby for any amount of fkn time, you can REASON YOUR BALLSSS OFF every saturday, and sunday in the fall for almost any side!!

lol, reasoning makes no difference,

so now were back to, does a capper pick winners?

and of course, what type of capper are they?

I'm pretty much on your side of this discussion. I don't have time to waste trying to explain my reason for a wager I feel strongly about. That's why I seldom spend a lot of time posting so-called opinions. I'm not knocking those that do however ! I just think that whether or not a handicapper is picking winners is all I care about. I remember Bucsfan,
ACEAce, and Boxslayer were good at their specialties and I followed and made $$. If Redeye has a strong wagering opinion, you would be wise to follow. However Redeye seldom posts his picks nor do I. Whether I follow or fade someones picks has everything to do with his or her ability to pick winners and I really don't care why they made their picks.

reasons and write ups are always a plus but if they have proof of a winning record then the write up isnt necessary
