Out of control in terms of gambling?

One general rule is that you are out of control when you are wagering rent or utility money and you have a family

My professional experience is that most folks are not that self-aware...

Most people who are depressed don't think they're depressed.
Most people who are alcoholics don't think they have a problem with alcohol.
Most people who abuse drugs (Rx'd or street) don't think they have a problem with drugs.
Most people who are compulsive gamblers don't think they have a gambling problem.

It is hokey and cliche, but the first step to fixing a problem is to realize you have a problem...

when instead of making more excuses for what you do...you start wondering 'is this normal?'

and trust me , that HAPPENS eventually......and 'eventually' is usually a little bit before hitting rock bottom
