I'm talking the soon to be former San Francisco head coach Jim Harbaugh. What a terrible season. The 49ers were officially eliminated from playoff contention yesterday when they laid down at Seattle after taking a 7-3 lerad into the locker room at half time. This pathetic team has scored a total of 13 second half points in their last four games. This shows you how poor of a head coach Harbaugh really is. Kaepernick is not a top NFL QB, no matter what people may think. This team has to start from scratch, and dumping Harbaugh is priority #1. Send him to the Raiders. A perfect fit.

Big....

Can't say you are always a dumbass.... but you are often around here.

Have you paid any attention to what the 9ers have accomplished the last few years? Teams don't just lay down in this league and let another team have the kind of success the 49ers have had by accident.

Yes, Kap has turned out to be a childish, tattooed, little piece of shit. And yes.... mistakes have been made.

But how do you think any other coach would have done missing as many quality players as SF has had missing this season?

Sorry you have lost your sack betting San Fran. Obviously you have....... only way to explain your stupid comments.

As a die hard fan of the team, the actually played a good game yesterday. If the team played with that same intensity vs. Chicago, STL, and Oakland we would not be in this spot. Harbaugh is a great coach. The team had a down year due to injuries, Kaepernick, O line, etc. The 49ers still have a ton of talent and I wish Harbaugh could stay with the team. I just don't think his style meshed with the 49ers front office.

he's a great coach but like you said, he doesn't get along with some key people in the front office. Any team that hires him will be better quickly.

i vote for this. i think what matters most is WHERE he goes, more than WHEN he leaves SF. the players may like him but mgmt/owners is sick of him and I think he's tired of SF.

where he goes? Mich (who's surprisingly quiet about a coach re-hire so this could be where he lands), Oak or Jets.

People like you should not make statements that you cannot back up. Obviously you have no idea what you are talking about, do you? Let me tell you something little man. I made more money with one wager this season than you have made in total. Only losers use the past to excuse the present. The '9ers have accomplished nothing, compared to what was expected out of them. Did they win a Superbowl? Haarbaugh has been there four seasons. He lost 3 games in 2011 but lost to the Giants in the playoffs. He lost 4 games in 2012 and lost the Superbowl. He lost 4 games last season and lost to Seattle in the playoffs. This season his team lost 7 games so far, and is just terible. His team was humiliated by a terrible Okaland Raider team.

Now I will be glad to put my football knowledge up against yours any time, any day. If you think you know so much, put up or shut up. Start with this. Who wins the NFC and AFC titles. Name your teams and tell the audience why you are taking those teams.

I do not think he wants to go back to Michigan and have to coach against the likes of Urban Meyer and Mark Dantonio, two college coaches who are much better than he is in the college ranks. Did you know that Harbaugh's record at Stanford was 28-23 and no Pac 10/12 championships? I think he goes to Oakland. His wife likes the Bay area. He will not be expected to do too much in the first year or so. he has a decent QB in Carr, so he can draft for need in 2015.

Or he might just pull the plug and lay-low for awhile. He is set financially (his bag is full); he certainly is able to provide for his wife so she can live the life-style she's grown accustomed to living in the Bay area. He can always come-back after he as caught his breath.

could be but you cant live for long on no salary in the Bay area. there will be no shortage of suitors. I think he's a solid coach but he needs the right mgmt/ownership.

One thing for certain the new coach will inherit an immensely talented team minus an NFL QB...He will have plenty to work with and the shelves are far far from bare...

On another note, what happened to the Kap that took off running. Seems like when that stopped so did the Frisco offense.

Also, the disappearance of TE Vernon Davis is troubling to say the least. Vernon Davis always a mainstay of the offense has done a major disappearing act this year. Maybe he still isn't healthy but something is wrong.

This years Frisco team has their issues and a lack of talent isn't one of them...A team with this much talent and majorly underachieving only place to look is at the top. Hopefully Harbaugh can land his Alma Mater job and he can resurrect that wailing program.

Agreed.
If spoiled little rich kid owner Jed had any sack, he'd tell Harbaugh and Baalke to work it the fuck out.

He gets canned, they owe him next years 5M salary if he doesn't take another job.

The right front office will cut his personality some slack and let him coach unencumbered by any politics. If they want someone to kiss their asses and parrot the party line, he ain't the guy. If they want to win, he is.

What a horrible thread. There is no one in their right mind in SF that is firing him because of his performance. They simply don't get along since that "trade" debacle. He is 48-21-1 (69%), 3 straight NFC championship games. Get outta here. This is 100% personal. Hopefully the Redskins can swoop him up. Would love him on my team.

Contract will not be renewed. Announced after season. We've seen this movie before. GM and Head Coach in highly successful program underachieves and both are Type A perso alities. One runs the other out of town. The other will follow suit in 2-3 years when the team hires a new coach who doesn't do as well as harbaugh with the same level of talent.

He won't get fired if he's staying in the NFL. Since he's a desirable commodity to a few NFL teams, with time left on his contract, they'll keep him, and work out some kind of draft compensation with the team he ultimately signs with in the NFL. If he decides Michigan is where he wants to go, then they'll fire him.
