He can post as much as he wants in this forum - however, he is only allowed to START 2 threads within a 24 hour period - if not, he's going to kill it for anyone that wants to read threads from our more "normal" posters.

actually its more annoying imo when doc instead of everyday starting dozens of threads, hijacks other threads that arent about topics he usually spams/posts about. merely limiting the number of daily new threads he creates another problem. thats what happened before. a high % of docs threads had 0 replies, so he started posting the same crap in every thread, regardless of topic on the first page.

really most of what doc is posting as individual threads could be done with one running thread and 5 or less other threads each day.

that way all his fans, followers, and bashers could read docs material via the one-stop-shop method.

a similar thread has been running nearly a year now with the sell, sell, sell thread. instead of us posting in that thread creating 50-100 new threads each day here about the economy and stock market, anyone that wants to make a comment about the economy/market more than likely will make it there.

another example is road reeler with his own immigration blog/thread. reeler could post using docs romper room style with dozens of new threads each day. however, he doesnt and thus he adds value to this forum without hogging the board or continuously bashing other posters.

bottom line is that what doc is and has been doing is spamming the hell out of this board and has definitely lowered the quality of therx political forum.

since doc obviously has fans (although imo most of his loyal fans post an even higher % of drivel posts here than doc does himself), as long as he isnt hijacking other threads and/or creating dozens of new threads each day about the same topic, he could add to this forum and should be allowed to post.

its a very simple solution imo, and its up to wilheim and rob funk to decide.

even a dozen new threads each day starting tomorrow will be a drastic improvement from the spamfest doc hit this forum with last week.

I'd even let him do 10 new threads and 100 posts a day. I think that's a reduction of about 70% which IMO is enough.

Woof makes good points about the sell sell sell thread and roadreeler's thread. It's sad to see such a total disregard for basic forum etiquette. You'd figure grown ups would only need to be told a couple of times. He's almost a one-man case study against anarcho-capitalism.

im sure everyone has noticed that a lot of his posts are similar in content.

so why not one thread a day? A general one for all his musings for the day

5 threads a day for anybody should be enough ,anyone doing more than that is just looking for attention.

7.14 threads per day = 50 per week = 2600 per year

I used the ol' Baseball Math....

Start with the number of HRs hit by Babe Ruth and extrapolate.

Let him get 10 posts each 24 hour period. Imagine the excruciating mental anguish he'll endure deciding where to splinter his square pegs into round holes.

Mark L has figured out how to handle such quasi-restrictions by just packing 2-3000+ words into each post with the content weaving all over the road from Morality to Liberals To Homos To Democrats to Immoral Homos to Liberal Immoralists to a YouTube video starring Ronald Reagan.

If doc started his own continuous thread here at rx poli forum, in a year or so he could easily have a thread with 50-100k + posts and maybe 250k views.

Maybe a million posts in a decade or so...that would be a sight to see.

His fans, followers, bashers, and other readers would have all docs best in one thread.

He could still make other threads, but alot of what he posts in his in his continuous thread.

Doc could have his own talk radio show someday.

Pretty reasonable even at 15 and 100.

I will post the criteria later today.

The last time this was suggested it couldn't be done.

Sounds like technology has finally caught up with Doc.

And now our righties get to play at spot-the-ghost-of-Doc too.

10 / 50 is my vote, not that I have one :think2:

It will still allow him to post 5 to 10x more than anyone else

maybe 10/100

If he bothers you so much, why don't you just stay out of his threads? Do you think he would be as interested, if he could only talk to himself?

Just an idea! Or better yet, you could put him on ignore.
