When are teams and brackets announced for the college hoops tourney?

ESPN has scheduled a three hour show this Sunday night called "Bracketology". The show airs at 7PM EST on Sunday. They will be announcing all the assigned seeds, and first round match-ups in real time.

i love to watch that show. they always have a camera at some school that doesn't get in (like maryland) then you get to see all these kids and coaches get all dejected and pissed.

CBS televises the thing - so THEY are the ones who get to announce it first.

i believe the show airs around 3/3:30P on the left coast (where it is about 85 degrees - higher in some areas - in so cal - and has been since sunday)

Thanks Winkyduck, I stand corrected, the Bracketology show must be a discussion about the selections and seedings. I know ESPN is promoting the show quite a bit. Anyway Wink is right, for the actual real time selections, plus shots of different teams sweating out the seedings, and selections CBS is broadcasting the right program.

Well, i guess the camera will go somewhere else tonight

No kiddin - Maryland not only will get in, they have to be seeded at least around a # 8 or 9, and will be a tough out. It looks like Ok. St will win the Big 12 Tournament. The Cowboys have to get a higher seed then Duke after today's results. IMHO.

MD will get a #5 or #6 seed, no worse than #6. Duke will still get a #1. Kentucky has moved to the overall number 1 seed now.. announcement coming soon.. My top seeds would be:

KY
Duke
OK St
Stan

howver look for St. Joe's to get there instead of OK St.

SSI - you are probably right about Maryland getting a 6, at 19-11 they will be a shaky 6, but have a great tournament history under Gary Williams, definetely a team no one wants to face in an early round.

Top four (imo).
Kentucky.
Stanford.
Ok. St.
Duke.

Alas, as SSI says St. Joe's will probably push Ok. St to a 2 seed.
