My fiance and I decided to adopt and Angel from the mall instead of buying each other gifts. Have done this the last few year and at least it makes me feel good about myself on Christmas. I mean if I want something I will just go buy it anyways so I don't really care about her getting me anything for Christmas anyways.

Also, agree with the 2nd part. If my wife buys me anything, I get pissed, but I know I don't need it. If I need something I have it.
Fortuantely for me, I have never been one who has many material wants or needs. The only thing that i ever wanted was 5 Flat screens in my game room and I have that. She does and always will drive a better car than me and that is just how I will always have it be. It doesn't matter to me if the car says BMW or Mercedes or Honda, does it get me from point A to B, that is it.
