I'm thinking they may have a shot at their division. Get Arroyo out of the mix and they have a solid pitching crew.

Votto will be back tonight, get rid of Edwin, keep Rosales and Nix and we have a ball team

I think they have a real nice ballclub. I posted on here last year about how they were a team to watch in the second half, but they didn't do as well as I thought they would and I couldn't figure out why they weren't winning- though I think the off year by Harang was a big reason. They have some nice young players, no doubt about it. Getting Ramon Hernandez was a nice move as was Taveras. They have three really good starters, they should be there all year, but it's a pretty good division.

I hope the number of runs they score tonight, combined with the number of runs they yield exceeds the sum total of nine. Other than that I have no opinion.

can't win betting on them and lose evertime betting against them; so far this season like 3-15 when bets indude them.

Nix isn't the answer...

Need to bring up Homer Bailey...

Nice young team, but its achilles heel is Dusty Baker..

They need to get Micah Owings in the lineup daily.
Like the Cards did with Ankiel.

I have always been a big fan of Harang, and it looks like he's back to 2007 form.
He's in the best shape of his life, primed to win 15 plus.

I've been riding Cueto all season, he's a money maker and the real deal.
Arroyo needs to be more consistent, was brutal in the losses to the Braves and the Brews.
Volquez needs to stop walking batters.
Overall the rotation is not bad.

Rhodes and Weathers are doing a nice job out of the pen, Masset is the best setup man nobody ever heard of, but it's all no good if Cordero gags.

Bruce is a nice player, needs to get on more, Votto is a stud, Taveras is a game changer with his speed, and Phillips in an underated top 5 NL second sacker.

Reds = bonafide contender.

I could be dead wrong, but I think Homer is a bust. I watched him pitch a few times last year and he looked terrible. The Reds had a chance in that same draft to take Jered Weaver but they passed on him.

Yes, and many times before also. Got banged aound in A ball too.

Guy is a bust, and Homer is not the answer.

I agree VD, Dusty will kill this young team.

Their starting to score some runs now. If they bring Edwin back after he's all DL that will be a hit to this ball club. They are winning with out him and will continue to do so without his 3 errors per game
Wasn't Homer Bailey demolished last time they brought him up?

I think the Reds have a legitimate shot at the Central. They scare me more than any other team in the Cubs' division.

Every time I see the standings for the NLC....I think it sucks that it's a six team division while the ALW is a four teamer. Not fair that the division winner has to beat out 5 teams vs. 3.

They need to re-align. Throw Houston in the NLW and the D'backs in the ALW. It's not like AZ has any traditional rivalries or history to worry about.

You would. :ohno: This is the guy who honestly spends more time and energy hating on the Cubs than rooting for his own team.

Wanna make a wager on that? Name the price, odds, etc.
