Weather is turning for the better... Sure some of yall have some things planned already this year...

What are yall doing this summer for vacation?

Not sure yet... looking at a few things: cruise, Colorado, Florida

moving to the beach in two weeks here so mostly posting up, recovering from down payment and doing a little camping

maybe visit family for the 4th in DC/Maryland

wedding in colorado in july

quick vegas trips ~monthly if things go well

growing up I did it all the time (graduated high school in 94)....you used to be able to bring your own keg down on the mall....some good memories...

now when we go back we go out to the country (folks have a farm about an hour outside of the city near sharpsburg, md); they have an event at the antietam battlefield that we usually take the kids too....lot mellower than downtown

where are you in VA? i grew up in montgomery county about 200 yards into md from nw.....right near westmorland circle/sibley hospital/american u...where mass ave hits western i think

much more south.. I'm close to Charlottesville (UVA)

I went up one year but it was 100+ degrees and I wasn't feeling being out there all day and dealing with all the traffic and people.. I love fireworks, more than most.. but Unless its beautiful I just can't see it being worth it with those crowds and needing to get there that early.

The Fireworks are bad ass! I love fireworks as well. Debating a trip to Niagara Falls for the fireworks, and well, I've never been to begin with....
