What's YOUR line for Purdue and Kansas St?

Both teams playing their home finale, for coaches in their final game. While Tiller announced hsi retirement prior to the season, K St was informed he won't be back in 2009 (as with Fulmer but they play their home finale next week). Neither team will be bowling so this is their bowl game!

I can't see either of these teams losing this week but laying 13 and 10? Since this game is all about emotion, I know Purdue and K ST will come ready to play. Will Indiana and Iowa St?

Is Vegas purposely inflating these lines or do any of your lines compare?

iowa st is a bad team. i really think prince should have been given more time, but how quickly they forget what things were like before the mid '90s. i wouldn't be surprised to see k st. roll in this one. not much of a big 10 follower so don't know much there.

I would respectfully disagree, I don't see anything that Prince has done that would warrant additional time. Bringing in 17 JUCOS in one year is an act of desperation imo, maybe had to because of all the players he ran off in the prior 2 years (as well as coaches and school staff). Also, going 0-9 vs KU, MU & NU did not help (and not even competitive in most of those).

I just can't see all of the new Juco's being all that fired up for Prince's last game. ISU is bad I would agree but I think their coach will have them playing hard, 10 points just seems like too many to me for one bad team vs another.

Prince was an absolutetly terrible rushed hire of a coach at KSU that never had the creditinials to be a head coach.. And he's done about everything wrong that a coach could possibly do. Not only in bringing in way too many JC's, but the treatment of the assistant coaching staff around him has been deplorable. That's why he's working with an almost entirely new coaching staff than the one he started with..They all left that place as quick as they could..They knew the program was going nowhere fast, and they all moved on...As for this game with Iowa State, take a look at the stats between these two teams..They are almost dead even. And Iowa State is actually the team with the better defense in this game.

Admittedly I was a bit surprised to see Purdue open at -13. Seemed too high. You look at the common opponent statistics and it's dead even.

Both teams played Central Michigan, Penn State, Michigan State, Northwestern, Iowa and Minnesota. Here's the stats for those games:

Points scored:
Purdue 94
Indiana 107

Points allowed:
Purdue 153
Indiana 193

Yards for:
Purdue 1805
Indiana 2036

Yards against:
Purdue 2353
Indiana 2532

It looks like a 24-21 type of game for Purdue, factor in home field and maybe 27-20. I think -13 is too high, but I wouldn't bet on Indiana. They've been abysmal ATS this year.

The best bet is to bet against Indiana in the 2nd half. Every single game this year they've been solid in the first half, and horrific in the second.

Keep in mind that these opponents have zero to play for. It's not like their going bowling. They probably just want to end their miserable seasons and go home.

While both Purdue and K ST defenses are pretty poor. Both offenses are capable of scoring if they want. Purdue, while being very inconsistent, has the capibility of putting up 35+.

Maybe taking the over for the Purdue and K St team totals are much more solid than taking the spread.

I don't typically weigh in on this forum BUT, I am already penciled in Purdue TT Over. Good thinking as well...let Indiana do their own thing...Purdue will score.

These are "short" road trips for the visitors (Bloomington/West LaFayette). The points look good in two "lousy" football games.
