No wonder.

The freaking ceiling in Arizona is leaking...right onto the pitching mound!

And they expect him to just keep pitching. Wet spot right where the pitcher's plant foot goes. Horrible. And stupid.

Someone's pitcher might get seriously hurt.

WTF???? How can they play in conditions like that? Why hasn't the coach complained about it?

Yea, they had a meeting on the mound with the pitcher, manager, and umpire (this was right after it was 2-0 with 2 men on)...but eventually I guess he said play ball cause he started pitching again.

Then in the top of the next inning the Giants announcers said that they "somewhat fixed" the wet spot on the pitcher's mound...but my big question is why does Lowry have to pitch on it and give up runs but when their guy goes up there all of a sudden they have something with which they can help fix it?!

Good news is the Giants now have the lead!

Bad news is the wet spot is still an issue. The ceiling is still leaking right onto the front of the mound, just a little beyond where you'd plant your foot as you pitch, but still on the hill itself (to try and paint the picture for you guys).

This might be a crazy one.

Dodgers/Col go over 11. What a cluster in the late innings. I'm 5-5 so far today after a good start.

I just think the Giants are playing much better than the Dbacks. I hope this lead holds up.

Lowry has really nutted up since the first inning debacle.

D-backs leave them load. Some GREAT pitches made by Lowry with bases loaded and one out. And with his pitch count over 100.

I've bet on quite a few pitchers that have been pitching balls-out lately that have lost in the last week. I wonder if the long season is getting to them. I thought maybe we would have another pitcher in Lowry doing the same thing. I'm glad he sucked it up.

8-3 now. Looking good.

The last 2 runs BTW came when the manager did something I think they should do more a bit more often than they do...they gave him the green light on a 3-0 pitch.

I'm glad you took the bet. I hope we cash. It's looking good at this point.

I'm still kind of burned about the Boston Rl bet and the Rocks and Dodgers going over by 1. I would have been 8-3 on the day. I guess that's how it goes some time.

Cubs -153 over Pit
Cubs/Pit over 7.5 -121

I won 0.65 units on the Cubs win and 0.83 units on the total.

oooooooohhhhhhhhhhh. thats odd, when i bet a unit its to win that unit if its favored and i bet 1 unit if its a dog.......you on the other hand bet i unit on a fav and 1 unit on a dog right?.........interesting, i dont think i have ever heard of that before...if it works for you thats great.

just so i get it straight though...say you bet a game that is -200, which you would probablly never do but, and you won that game, then you win .50 units...right?

I risk 1 unit per bet. If I bet -200 (which I do on occasion) I lose 1 unit if the bet loses and I win 0.50 units if I win.

Toward the end of the baseball season some teams have given up by putting in their AAA players so that they lose maybe 3 out of 4 games. Even at -200 this is a winning proposition.

Excellent pizzap. I've been looking over the lines but haven't seen anything yet. I'll post Sunday morning before the games if I find something.
