No wonder the states is so fucked up half the people dont even believe in evolution thats crazy man. Religous nut jobs are holding the states back big time and I always wondered why abortion and religion was big in politics in the states because without it the republicans would'nt have a chance in hell of winning.

By the way this is not an attack on people how believe in god or anything, believing in god is cool if your into that but dont believe every word in the bible or what the pope says or who ever makes up all this religous bullshit.

This is the 21 century you people are welcome to join it with the rest of the modern world.

It would depend how you asked the question. I'm an athiest so I certainly don't think God made it happen. But I do laugh that Evolution is taken by many as a religion onto itself and the holes in the theory seem to get completely ignored.

Frankly, I'm fine with saying I have no idea in Hell how it all happened. And I find anyone that "knows" what happened 4-5 billion years ago to be an idiot.

Studies have shown how electricity can make a non living life form, living. I don't care how it all started. We are here and that's all that matters. Too many religious kooks justify wrong doing by this fairy tale book called the bible. That's what I'm upset about.

Although I think evolution seems like the logical option and kind of makes sense I atleast respect you on your opinion because its your opinion not some crap you've been brian washed with.

Also I didnt mean to put you or people like you in the same lump with the religon people its just that most of the non believers believe in god creating everyone the way they are now and the world is only 10,000 years old and other crap.

Solid post (except the 'idiot' part IMHO) I agree, I really dont care how it happened. I think there was a rediculously long thread on creationism vs. evolution about a week ago. And it got so long and nausiating and drawn out I started to believe they were the same thing. lol.

But agree with stocks that relegion other than implicit 'freedom to relegion' should be seperated from policy as much as possible which I think what stocks is refering to anyways.

Some argue that the country was founded on christianity, I dont agree. Even if true that was a long long time ago. The country wasnt nearly as diverse as it is now. And people werent nearly as educated or as well read as a whole.

OK I could have left the idiot part off. But those threads you mention is part of my reason. It seems people get PISSED at people who are religious. I just don't get it.

Look at the red states - mostly in south and midwest populated by uneducated, redneck, racist evangelicals. All religions thrive where the population is generally ignorant because it's easier to learn a fairy tale than to underdstand basic scientific principles.

Then you have the blue states - west coast and northeast where the best universities, tech companies, and financial institutions are located.

I bet the education level of the blue states is substantially higher than what you find in the red states. Example: Mass., WA, and CA vs. Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama.

They have done studies, I think there is very little difference between Dems and Republicans as far as education level.

Agree with you on this but you may want to clear yourself of all your "botness" before you do too much talking.

Half the folk don't believe in evolution while the other half spend their lives watching American Idol and big brother, and America runs the world.

Drinking Beer makes more sense than thinking.

More than half don't believe in the fairy tale of Darwinism. It's a nice
story though, right along with Cinderella and the tooth fairy.
