This is quite possibly the biggest bomb of the year!
Jessica Simpson's new film, Blonde Ambition, should have gone direct to DVD. Instead, the stinker got a "vanity run" in 8 theaters in Texas.
Well, as we all know, the people in Texas hate Jessica Simpson these days, and not even fellow Texan Luke Wilson could draw people to the theaters!
Blonde Ambition averaged an embarrassing $48 per screen on Friday for a total box office of $384. Based on an $8 ticket price, that means that 6 people paid to see the movie at each of those theatres, and only 48 people went to see the movie!
That's amazing!
Has any other movie ever performed worse than that??????
Jessica's "star vehicle" will gross just $1,190 this weekend or $149 per location.
Blonde Ambition will be released on DVD in January.
Simpson's next movie, Major Movie Star, is expected to go straight to DVD too.

I nominate two horror masterpieces to the collection. Both of these go way back to the early 70's. The first is the classic, The Incredible Two-Headed Transplant ('71), here's the summary taken from a movie review site:
Dr. Roger Girard is a rich scientist conducting experiments on head transplantation. His caretaker has a son, Danny, who, although fully grown, has the mind of child. One day an escaped psycho-killer invades Girard's home, killing Danny's father before being gunned down himself. With the maniac dying and Danny deeply unsettled by his father's death, Dr. Girard decides to take the final step and transplant the killer's head onto Danny's body. Of course, things go horribly wrong and the two-headed creature escapes to terrorize the countryside. Written by Jeremy Lunt {durlinlunt@acadia.net}

These two aren't even acceptable fare for the late,late,late show; I can't fathom how any studio or production company could have distributed these things to the public. Anyone and everyone associated with them certainly destroyed their career by taking part (even though there are some highly recognizable names in these bombs).
Under a heavy state of intoxication you may find yourself laughing hysterically at these two examples of 'art in motion'.
