if it is ou -7 i will take a long look at tt, ou's defense has been horrible, i would think the sooners would have to put up 60 and that still might not be enough!
This is exactly what the linesmakers want. A line set up for a little action on both sides. Much like the OU-Texas line which was set at around -7.If it is OU -7 I will take a long look at TT, OU's defense has been horrible, I would think the Sooners would have to put up 60 and that still might not be enough!
I think the big question here is, will OU let Texas Tech control time of possession of 35 minutes like TT did against OSU. OU's offense right now is the best in the country. My bet is at home OU will have at least as much if not more possession time than TT in this game. Especially since RB Demarco Murray is 100% healthy and running the ball with alot of confidence. I also think this bye week will serve OU better than Texas Tech. It will give the Sooners some time to work on their underperforming special teams and get their defensive schemes tightened up in preparation for TT. Something that Texas didn't get a chance to do in having to prepare for one ranked team after another before TT. I guarantee you the OU coaching staff has also been preparing for TT for the last week even before the bye week. While TT did dismantle Okie State...can they really have 7 straight TD drives in Norman like they did at home this past weekend? I don't see it. Hunter did very well against this Tech run D and it should be no different for Murray.

i can't wait to bump this post to the top of the forum after ou goes down in flames.
Always respect your opinion GoSooners, just wondering how OU will fix their poor special teams in one week. I do agree that Murray playing keep away could be huge, I also think the Tech must whether the initial onslaught from an offense that is firing on all cylinders if they are able to do that it may come down to who has the ball last. Should be a great one! This is exactly what the linesmakers want. A line set up for a little action on both sides. Much like the OU-Texas line which was set at around -7.
These OU coaches are really pulling their hair out on why OU, with all of the fast athletes they have, haven't had good kick coverage this season. Hopefully they'll get some things straightened out in the next 2 weeks. I'll let you know if I hear if their making any progress or changes. But at this point I'm not trusting any aspect of OU's special teams. Of course I'm not real sure TT is all that confident of their special teams either. They've had a few long runbacks on their special teams units too. Plus their FG kicking game from 40 yards on out is questionable. I just hope this game doesn't come down to special teams. By the way my mind is far from made up on this game whether the line is 4 or 7.Always respect your opinion GoSooners, just wondering how OU will fix their poor special teams in one week.
