I'll give you props for calling Tech the past two weeks. But even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time.....

No way line will be OU -8

No way that the #1 or #2 team in the country will be less then a 3-4pt underdog.

OU -3 1/2

Tech has proven they are the real deal. However, much like Texas, you can only play big in big games for so long. BYE week is a bonus, however, Oklahoma has a little too much.

Texas Tech 45

If it is OU -7 I will take a long look at TT, OU's defense has been horrible, I would think the Sooners would have to put up 60 and that still might not be enough!

Ou is the best home team in the country! No question

They have lost 1 big 12 game at home since the league was created

they always dominate tech in norman! Nothing changes here!

Ou can name there score! They might just put up 100 for the bcs!

While TT did dismantle Okie State...can they really have 7 straight TD drives in Norman like they did at home this past weekend? I don't see it. Hunter did very well against this Tech run D and it should be no different for Murray.

This is exactly what the linesmakers want. A line set up for a little action on both sides. Much like the OU-Texas line which was set at around -7.

I think the big question here is, will OU let Texas Tech control time of possession of 35 minutes like TT did against OSU. OU's offense right now is the best in the country. My bet is at home OU will have at least as much if not more possession time than TT in this game. Especially since RB Demarco Murray is 100% healthy and running the ball with alot of confidence. I also think this bye week will serve OU better than Texas Tech. It will give the Sooners some time to work on their underperforming special teams and get their defensive schemes tightened up in preparation for TT. Something that Texas didn't get a chance to do in having to prepare for one ranked team after another before TT. I guarantee you the OU coaching staff has also been preparing for TT for the last week even before the bye week.

love how everyone is supposedly on ttechs 'ass' right now.

lets seeeeeeeeeee:

kansas was going to beat ttech because tech was a sucker play.

then texas was gonna beat tech because tech wouldnt stop them.

then okla st would go into tech and win outright beacause of the texas hangover.

all the forums have been fading tech lately, without much success.

Always respect your opinion GoSooners, just wondering how OU will fix their poor special teams in one week. I do agree that Murray playing keep away could be huge, I also think the Tech must whether the initial onslaught from an offense that is firing on all cylinders if they are able to do that it may come down to who has the ball last. Should be a great one!

These OU coaches are really pulling their hair out on why OU, with all of the fast athletes they have, haven't had good kick coverage this season. Hopefully they'll get some things straightened out in the next 2 weeks. I'll let you know if I hear if their making any progress or changes. But at this point I'm not trusting any aspect of OU's special teams. Of course I'm not real sure TT is all that confident of their special teams either. They've had a few long runbacks on their special teams units too. Plus their FG kicking game from 40 yards on out is questionable. I just hope this game doesn't come down to special teams. By the way my mind is far from made up on this game whether the line is 4 or 7.

Jayhawk:

Can you elaborate? You have been all over Tech the past few weeks and now they are going to get destroyed?? I dont get it.

OU arguably has one of the best offenses in the country, but Tech's isnt half bad. And honestly with the injury to Reynolds, Tech's D is better than OU's.

I totally agree Norman is a very very tough place to play. I believe only two teams have won in Norman since Stoops has been head Coach (TCU & OSU). However, Tech is a totally different team this year compared to years past with a solid D line and balanced offense (Tech is doing much better on its T.O.P). I find it hard to believe they will be "destroyed." It will be a tough game and it will be hard to wait two weeks for the show.

GoSooner - look forward to your analysis next week

OU -4 and not a point more. No way can the linesmakers give Tech 7 points to start the game. OU will never catch up. With that being said, I think Tech gets their asses handed to them. 2 weeks of them sitting on their asses is no bueno for a game of this magnitude. I'm curious as to what Tech's record is following a bye?

Here's something that maybe some aren't thinking about with this line. If Texas Tech truely isn't the favorite in this game what is that telling you? I know it's telling me that if they make OU a 4 point favorite here, that Vegas doesn't think that Texas Tech should be rated ahead of OU. And they'll prove that by making OU the favorites in that game. And I'm agreement with SoonerBS, who's theory is if team A is truely good enough to be ranked ahead of team B, then they should be favored whenever playing team B on the road or at home.

Bye week hurts Texas Tech. They are a timing offense, and i think they will be in practice mode still and not wake up til later in the game once the rythym gets there again .

oklahoma and oklahoma first half minus the points for me
