Jesus, calm down carolinakid...this thread wasn't directed at you or anyone else specifically. Honestly, I saw some random poster post his plays and record last night, and following an impressive record was a play laying like -165 or something...which made me think, "This guy's record is great, but if all his losses are at -165, is it really that impressive?" So then I decided to pose the question to the forum.
Don't act so defensively. I wasn't coming after you or anyone else. I was asking an honest, legitimate question. It was directed at EVERYONE who does this, not just you. So calm down.
But since you're here, let me ask you a question. If a poster is 100-50, all documented, but all 50 of his losses were at -200 or higher, don't you think that the 100-50 record would be deceiving? Or do you disagree?
Everyone does things their own way. People post 50 unit plays, completely disregarding the fact that a unit should, theoretically, be worth 1-2% of one's bankroll. But at least if it's a sport other than baseball, the juice is going to pretty much be anywhere from +100 to -120, generally speaking, so only keeping a record isn't as big a deal. But for baseball specifically, the juice is just as important as the play itself. So it's confusing as to why people only keep track of a record, which is why I was asking the question.
I wasn't criticizing CK's capping ability or singling him out. The end.
