Mine is the the very first Monday Night Football game between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns from Sep. 1970. Does anybody have one older then that?

I don't get it! Other than some of the great games that ESPN classics show periodically, I have no interest at all in yesterdays games.
It must be me, because I just don't see the relevance in it; it's all Nascar to me.

Good luck!

bblight,

By watching the older games you can see that the game really has not changed. Formations were different but the same thing holds true today as it did back then - turnovers cost you victories. The Jets clearly outgained the Browns but two key Namath interceptions, one which was returned for a touchdown, cost New York the game, losing 31-21.

I can see that on ESPN Classics - Flutie throwing the Hail Mary pass to Phalen to win the game for BC- But It's on ESPN Classics every now and then - so again, what's the point?
No, forget it - don't even try - as I said before it's all Nascar to me!

Good luck!

I've taped religiously since '94. It's interesting to see how the game has changed, especially rules and style of play. Thank god for instant replay.

Colts vs. Vikings 1971 Monday Night Football with Johnny Unitas.

Also have the Houston disaster in Buffalo circa ?

But one of my favorites, and yes I could watch it again, is Joe vs. Steve (KC vs. SF) in 1992.

Anybody want to watch the 1999 NFL Draft?!
