There are a few of us out there that know what we're doing (as far as counting) ... most do not. Shit, I find that most people that claim to know BJ basic strategy only know about 80% of it.

BTW, it's a common misconception that counting a 6 deck shoe is much harder than a single deck. It's really no different. You're always keeping a running count, and then dividing by the number
of decks remaining to get a true count. If anything I'd think people would have a harder time dividing by a fraction (in the case of single deck) to get the true count...

Have you ever heard of a unbalanced count ?

I would suggest that most of the people here stay away from the BJ table as the are very ill equipped to even have the slightest chance of winning. Ploppy fodder.

I was with a buddy in Atlantic city, now, the guy I'm with is prone to Seizures,he takes a boatloads of meds.Unfortunately, because of the meds he has a tendency to nod out at times. We were sitting at a Blackjack table and were dealt our cards. The dealer comes around and starts asking players If they want a hit.I look down the table and my buddys eyes are closed,I'm like ,oh no this can't be happening. The dealer gets to my buddy turns over his cards he has 20.She looks up at him and goes''SIR''SIR",he wakes up and blirts out"Hit It".Naturally he busts. With a crooked smile on his face he looks around the table and says''I thought the ace was due"....I wanted to crawl under the table.

I was at this shitty carnival and was lit. It was late and hardly anyone was there. I went to the knock the bottles over game and started firing softballs (was clocked at 87 in high school and was really firing them. I was hitting everything but the bottles and the guy starts to give me advice. I told him to piss off. Well, I finally knocked over the bottles but he said it didn't count because I was standing too close...lol... so I start firing the balls at him. He and the guy working the game next to him try to dive for cover, but I got them both.

Holy crap that's hilarious

Saw a whale playing baccarat - I think $30k per hand on a streak not want to get up to pee. He asked for a cup. The Venetian refused to get it for him but didnt stop him from peeing in his pants.

no, just the average gambler is not that smart to keep track and depending upon how many decks you're playing and the placement of the cut card, too many variables. Ive meet lots of people who act like they are counting cards or have the ability too, but I still wax their ass. You can have a vague idea if the deck should be 10 heavy or not when it comes to taking hits, but that's about it

What do you insinuate when you stated "but I still wax their ass" ?

I always hate when people yell "MONKEY MONKEY MONKEY" It never works, it's just like the guy that is a 90% free throw shooter and you need him to miss that 1 time, never ever, it's always a swish with no touching of the rim.

We saw a guy get stabbed in the poker room at the horseshoe in Tunica Ms. They were sitting at the table next to us and we heard them argue. They stood up as if they were gonna fight and out comes the knife and the stab. Guys were old too like from say late 50's to early 70's i think. This was around 2000 or 2001. Never knew why or what happened to piss the guy off. Ambulance came, guy wasn't dead but he was stabbed like three times in the chest/stomach area with a hunting knife. PO PO came and took the other fellow in of course.

My story is based superstition do's and don'ts. By the way some of you guys who think there isn't a "flow to the cards" haven't played very much.
I was playing craps early monday morning at mohegan sun with leftover losers about 3 or 4 in the AM with frumpy looking middle age white dudes that looked like they were on disability or welfare at the 5$ table. So I'm playing with these guys and I'm down about 5-600 bucks when one of the losers and he looked the part, just a fuckin dope, look like he'd been in and out of jail for petty theft and shit like that all his life starts getting hot and he has rolled maybe 6 or 7 points in a row. The tables which had just been scattered with 5 pass bets and 6$ 6& 8 place bets now is getting loaded with chips. He is now rolling place numbers all over the place when he suddenly ask the dealer for new dice.Everybody kind of stops with WTF look on their face. And of course the loser immediately rolls a 7. Everybody moaned and growned and of course the loser did what he has always done made excuses why he changed up.He didn't have to explain anything because he was a fuckin loser, thats what they do.

Actually, I've been playing BJ for 40 years and I don't think there is a "flow to the cards". But I could be wrong. Why don't you carefully explain the concept to my small brain, sir?

Is it like a Karma, positive vs. negative energy, or maybe something like a Feng Shui thing?
