I had action on 1st penalty against Denver with Bookmaker and Bovada.

There was a penalty on Carolina @13:39 1st Qtr. but it was declined.
The next penalty came @5:02 1st Qtr on Denver.
I thought the penalty had to be accepted for it to count.

Bovada gave me a win but Bookmaker gave me a loss. Of course I had a larger wager with Bookmaker.
Am I wrong in my interpretation? Is Bookmaker wrong?

you would think a penalty declined or not is a penalty. Books might have grading rules different from each other. One might say penalty must be accepted to count

Well Bookmaker showed my their sports manager is a novice. They claim the 1st penalty was on Carolina despite it being declined. I argued with some guy on the phone for 20 minutes. It's really not the money it's the principle.
What really got to me is the way they word the prop. It doesn't say 1st team to commit a penalty 'Denver or Carolina'. It read 1st team to be penalized 'Denver or Carolina'.
I told them wording it that way only seems to verify that declined penalties don't count. He kept telling me Carolina was penalized but everytime I asked how they were penalized he proceeded to explain to me why Denver declined the penalty. At one point he informed me that I was the only one that called and complained. I asked how that makes them right?
Bottom line you can't win with these guys. It's not enough that they make tons of money with all the inflated odds they hit us with they want to bend the rules to suit their needs too. When a situation like this occurs they can look at which way they make more money and grade the winning bet to suit their needs. I know there are bets that are subjective meaning someone has to rule but declined penalties don't even show up in teams stats so knowing declined is not valid is basic football knowledge. Especially when your saying "team to be penalized."
Bovada graded it as "Denver 1st penalty" & I have a friend who told me 5 dimes graded the same.

This is the true meaning of "there is no honor among thieves!"

You're right "Johnny", no honor amongst thieves whether it be in sports betting or politics.
